This residence at Adambakkam was built in 2018 for Mr. Yuvaraj comprising of the 4bhk villa and a mansion behind it. Unlike other private houses in Chennai 4 miles away from an affluent suburb of the city. This house dominates its landscape like a classical villa. An opaque even forbidding entrance facade, dynamically asymmetrical but with symmetrical entrance gives way as one moves around the building to the open front. The exterior glimpses deep into the interiors space and transpose this scale to that of the human figure. Three stories up, a sheltering concrete canopy covers the dimensions of the perfectly square plan supported on concrete columns, floats over the wild composition below. Between the ground and the canopy is a double height interpenetrating outside and inside spaces lavishly accommodating the entire villa set up. The whole villa is 5400 sq.ft. which has a separate entrance for the mansion behind.
