This residential building was built in 2014 for Mr, Mohan comprising an area of 2400 sqft. The living and Dining rooms form a central space of the house, while three bedrooms are placed alongside. The Outer face of the house has a little external fenestration. Consequently, with larger windows look into the internal spaces and double height living. The articulation of spaces is further enhanced by a play of solids and voids, use of materials and colours to highlight the openings, particularly apparent in the contrasting effects of the Wooden ceiling, louvred doors and windows. Polished Marble has been used for the flooring. Based on Geometry of overlapping squares, the design defines the major and minor spaces by incorporating functions appropriate to the overlaps. As a result, a variety of spaces are created low and protected or High with double heights, all accentuated by diffused natural light.
